Yakima
Many of you may not be familiar with this particular tournament.  This is one of the largest tournaments that Club Eclipse has been involved in over the last few years.  This tournament is for U-12s, U14s, U16 and U18s.  It has 2 divisions for most of the age brackets.  In total, there were over 50 volleyball courts being played on throughout the Yakima valley.  That’s over 1000 kids playing at the same time!  In the U-16 Challenge division, which is what we played in, there were about 42 teams.

We started Saturday morning being seeded number one in our pool.  Our girls did a great job of defending our seeding by remaining undefeated in the morning pool.  We played some great teams and had some very close games... (Like one game which we won with a score of 33-31. Whew, my heart!)

The next day we began being seeded number one in our pool again.  What a morning.  The girls played their hearts out and by the end of this pool, we finished 3rd.

This put us at a number 7 seed for the beginning of tournament play.  We started out a little slow for the first game of the tournament.  However, our girls were able to put the start behind them and play a terrific second game.  We lost it with a score of 24-26.

The Bomberinos ended with a final tournament position of being tied for 5th place out of 42 teams!   What a great job our girls did.  They should be extremely proud of themselves.

I am very proud of the effort that each girl gave.  It was very obvious that they were all working as a team.  Even when one of our players got down a little bit, the entire team rallied around them and helped pick them up.  Great jobs Bomberinos.

Thanks for all the parents who made this tournament a success and again Great job to all the Bomberinos.
